My paintings are based on whatever I take a liking to and whatever I think
looks beautiful. I have a special attachment to the sea and am excited by
colour. No "quintessential meaning of life" or anything like that. My work is
simply for my own pleasure, and hopefully others as well. Art is a dynamic and
unifying activity - every person may put thoughts and emotions into an art
form.
